  3. C-TEK Lab geeks begins plans for social media based CRM

    Social Media

The lab guys have done it again, after months of work on other projects along the same lines. The latest to begin rolling out of CompuTEK Industries’ labs is a social media connected CRM. The project goal is to connect prospect leads with the company through open API’s from shopify, Facebook, Twitter, Klout, and Flowtown to name a few all while presenting a single center for inbound sales viva the company’s website as the front end.

This will be initially a open source project using Sinatra/ruby and will released under a MIT licence. The project is to be used by CompuTEK Industries at first, while at later stages we plan on offering a Freemium base service much like tumblr and Shopify has with thier hosted applications. Plus, in classic C-TEK fashion future products will be built upon this platform under a dual license model that include support for third-screen devices and customized VMware images for private licensed customers.

Initial development of the project will be documented here on the blog and at our GetSatisfaction profile.
